PETE’S COVER-UP

RELIEVED Peter Andre was back on top form yesterday as he promoted his perfume.

The singer looked happy as he chatted to fans at Selfridges in Manchester.

Peter, 36, used a plaster to cover up the tattoo on his ring finger which marked his marriage to Kate.

A pal said: “He kept the tattoo for the kids but now she has remarried he just wants it gone.

“He will have it removed soon.”

But it must have terribly hard for him to do it and, although I think he knew it was the right thing to do, there may have been a part of him that still thought there was an outside chance they could get back together in the future. In getting rid of the tatoo, I think he's facing up to the fact that there's absolutely way they'll ever be together again in this life. She's completely burned her boats with this marriage to Alex Reid - Katie/Peter is completely destroyed. I think in the long term she's done him a favour.
