DELIA THROUGH THE DECADES

As someone who’s not ashamed to admit he loves cookery shows (I’m strangely addicted to Market Kitchen on the Good Food channel), I have to say I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this look back at the legendary Delia’s years in the spotlight.


Tonight, all too soon, we reach the end of the run, recalling the decade that I guess we’ll always be forced to call the Noughties (yuk) and, in particular, Delia’s series How To Cook and How To Cheat.

In her other capacity as a majority shareholder in Norwich City FC, Delia also explains – in a chat with fellow supporter Stephen Fry – what really happened on the night she stepped out on to the pitch at her beloved Carrow Road and, during the half-time break, yelled to fans, somewhat embarrassingly, “Let's be ’avin ya!’
