WILL YOUNG: HAMMERSMITH APOLLO REVIEW

ABOVE: Will Young played at the Hammersmith Appollo
23rd November 2009

By James Cabooter

WILL Young is still a Pop Idol to many, despite being a star for the past seven years.

What he lacks in vocal prowess he more than makes up for in charisma.

Tonight was a fond trip down memory lane in support of his new Hits album, and he’s had his fair share of those.

The instantly recognisable Evergreen, Leave Right Now and Changes came thick and fast, confirming Will is an artist who is armed with a collection of songs that show genuine quality.

But he comes into his own when he’s chatting with his fans.

He even invited the audience to his nearby pad for an after-show singalong.

You kinda felt he really meant it too.
