MILLWALL footie fans are gearing up for their FA Cup clash with minnows Staines Town by winding up the local residents.

Home owners in the Middlesex town of Millwall – made famous by TV’s Ali G – are "terrified" of what will happen when The Lions travel across London for the second round match next Saturday.

Some say they plan to barricade their homes and hide their cars before the notorious supporters turn up for the game.

But Millwall fans have ridiculed their fears by leaving hundreds of tongue-in-cheek comments on website
stainesnews.co.uk.

One supporter wrote: “We will not stop until every house in the Staines area have had their doors knocked, and when answered our top boys have run away.”

Another joked: “From our command bunker we have been studying aerial reconnaissance photographs.

“We have earmarked a small child’s trampoline in Winifred Barnett’s back garden which could prove extremely useful in breaching the otherwise impenetrable perimeter fences.”

But some Staines locals saw the funny side and joined with the online banter.

One, calling himself Ali G, joked: “Don’t worry people of Staines. Da Staines Republican Army will protect you from dese gud fa nuffink South East-siders! Dey is just big girls.”
