GORGEOUS Chanelle Hayes flashed the yellow at her footie star lover after she was demoted from Premier League to ­Championship WAG.

But instead of being given a card, lucky Middlesbrough star Matthew Bates landed a relegation bonus in the form of her wearing an eye-­catching, skimpy bikini.

Sexy Chanelle, 21, and midfielder Matthew, 22, are holidaying in Marbella, on Spain’s Costa del Sol, after a tough season that saw his side slide out of the top division.

But despite her drop in WAG status Wakefield lass Chanelle appears to have retained her top place in the glamour league.

And pals reckon Stockton-born Matthew had better watch his step as jealous Premier League hunks are certain to want to steal her away.

A fellow sun worshipper said: “Chanelle is still on top form and everyone on the beach could see it – Matthew is a lucky man.

“He’s going to have his work cut out trying to get Boro back into the Premier League this year – and he’s going to struggle to keep hold of her if he’s not careful.

“Chanelle attracted a lot of interest on the beach from fellas giving her admiring glances and it’s absolutely no wonder – she is stunning.”

Chanelle’s last holiday ended in a health scare that impacted on the ­Middlesbrough team after she and a pal visited Mexico at the height of the panic over swine flu there.

On her return she faced a nervous wait to see if she had contracted the potentially fatal virus. And Matthew’s team-mates were also given check-ups by worried club staff.

A pal of Chanelle’s said last night: “She’s hoping to avoid coming home in such a panic this time.

“Thank God that’s all over and she and everyone else she came into contact with is OK.

“It’s been a frenzied couple of months for them in one way or another so she and Matthew are just happy to finally relax.”
