CHECK out the latest games coming out this week.

TITANIC MYSTERY, DS, PC, £29.99

SET on the Titanic, this odd mystery game for the DS and PC offers puzzles and problems to solve. The strange storyline has you running around the ship. There’s not much new here, although the dual screens on the DS work well. It doesn’t sink, but it does start to list after a couple of levels. One for the kids. 

VERDICT: 2/5

ENDLESS OCEAN 2: ADVENTURES OF THE DEEP Wii, £39.99 

IN this watery adventure from Nintendo, you go diving to explore the ocean depths. You carry out a whole series of missions from photographing marine life to working as a guide. Anyone who liked the first game will find this is similar fare. It doesn’t offer riveting gameplay but the online lets you swim with friends. 

VERDICT: 3/5

ASSASSIN’S CREED 2 (DLC) PS3, 360

UBISOFT has released new downloadable content for Assassin’s Creed 2, offering fans of the medieval romp a new segment of the map to play through. Called Battle of Forli, the new campaign features Caterina Sforza, rescued by Enzio in the main game. A second downloadable pack is due for release later in the year. 

VERDICT: 4/5

MASS EFFECT 2, 360, PC, £49.99

THIS is a sequel to the controversial yet popular Mass Effect. The new game features the same role-playing action with some crucial updates like advanced weapons, beautiful visuals and a storyline that just about makes sense. RPG fans will find plenty on offer to keep them going through the winter months. 

VERDICT: 5/5
